Built‑In IKEA PAX Wardrobes – York

A homeowner in York wanted fitted wardrobes that offered plenty of storage without the bespoke joinery price tag. I customised IKEA’s PAX system to fit perfectly into their bedroom alcove, assembled all units, trimmed the sides and top for a built‑in look, and finished the doors and panels to match the room’s decor. The result is a sleek, affordable storage solution that looks like it was designed for the space.

York Garden Office Build

A York homeowner needed a dedicated workspace separate from the house—somewhere quiet, warm, and professional. I designed and built a custom garden office from scratch using Dunster House timber logs. To ensure it could be used comfortably all year, I added extra insulation in the walls, roof, and floor, installed double‑glazed windows and doors, and sealed the structure to be weatherproof. The build took approximately a month in September 2024, and the finished office now provides a bright and cosy studio with plenty of natural light.

Hallway & Stairs Refresh – York

A dated hallway and staircase in York needed a complete refresh to brighten the space and improve its durability. The existing carpet was worn and dull, the paint was tired, and the banister needed an upgrade. I removed the old carpet, prepared and painted the walls and woodwork, installed new laminate flooring on the landing, and fitted a solid oak bannister for a warm, elegant finish. The result is a welcoming entrance that looks modern and feels built to last.

Custom Built Reading Nook in York

A homeowner in York dreamed of turning an unused corner into a cosy reading nook with built‑in seating and storage. Working closely with them, I designed a made‑to‑measure solution that fits perfectly into the space. I built a solid timber frame, installed open shelving for books and decor, and created a comfortable bench seat with hidden storage beneath. Finished with smooth paintwork and soft furnishings, the nook now serves as a serene spot for reading, relaxing or enjoying a cup of tea.
